Not impressed with the troll on the cricket stars, Indian fans took no time to express their disappointment through posts on Twitter.

Popular American sitcom, ‘The Big Bang Theory’, recently faced outrage from its Indian fans after the television series trolled ace Indian cricketers – including Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Bhubaneshwar Kumar – during the latest episode of the series 11th season.

The story line of the comedy series revolves around four scientists – Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsions), Leonard Hofstadter (played by Johnny Galecki), Rajesh Koothrappali (played by Kunal Nayar), and Howard Wolowitz (played by Simon Helberg).

With Brittish Indian actor Kunal Nayar playing one of the lead roles, the show managed clinch a huge fan base in India over the last few years. However, in a recent episode, Kunal’s fictional character Rajesh trolled the celebrated Indian cricketers, while he was in conversation with ‘Howard Wolowitz’.

In the episode the actors enacted a scene at the bar where a cricket match was being screened.

“I don’t get how you can enjoy cricket, it makes no sense!” Wolowitz tells Rajesh.

“That’s Ravichandran Ashwin, he is amazing. He makes Hardik Pandya look like Bhuvneshwar Kumar,” replies Rajesh.

“Wooah, wooah, wooah! Save syllables for the rest of us,” says Wolowitz.

While Hardik Pandya and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar are on the top of their cricketing form, Ashwin had been dropped in the recent limited over series – and replaced with Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. The ace off-spinner is expected to play for the Men in Blue’s Test squad in the upcoming India-Sri Lanka series – which starts from November 16.
