If you love your pet, it’s good but in the name of caring a dog if someone kills a man then what will you say?
In a horrifying incident, a dog owner shot dead a 30-year-old man for throwing stones at his pet in northeast Delhi’s Welcome Colony.
According to an ANI report, the incident occurred on Sunday (Jan 6) when the dog started barking at deceased Afaq while he was walking on a road.
Deputy Commissioner of police (northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur confirmed that the murder took place after an altercation took place between the two men over throwing a stone at the pet dog. “Prima facie, the dog belongs to the accused,” said Thakur.
Atul Thakur was quoted as saying that the dog apparently tried to bite Aafaq, following which he threw a handful of stones at the animal.
Police said Aafaq’s father-in-law called the police control room around 7pm and reported that his son-in-law had been shot by someone. When the police team reached the crime spot, they were told that Aafaq was taken to Guru Teg Bahadur hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
A police officer said that initial investigations revealed that Aafaq was walking past Mehtab’s house when the dog started barking at him. When the dog allegedly tried to bite Aafaq, he picked up a stone and threw it at the dog.
Mehtab, the dog’s owner, who saw the man hurling stones at his pet, quickly went inside his house and came out with a gun, the police said. He then shot Aafaq after a brief argument.
The man was taken to nearby hospital, where he succumbed to bullet injury. Police said that Mehtab absconding and they are looking for him.
