After Team India skipper Virat Kohli nominated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a fitness challenge, PM Modi has now nominated the newly elected Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy for a fitness challenge.
This fitness challenge was initially started by former professional shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who leads the ministries of youth and sports and information and broadcasting (I&B). He tweeted a video of himself performing push-ups in his office.
Today PM Modi posted a video on Twitter of his morning workout schedule as a part of #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign. In a two-minute long video, PM Modi can be seen practicing Yoga, walking on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature – Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash.
“I am delighted to nominate the following for the #FitnessChallenge: Karnataka’s CM Shri @hd_kumaraswamy. India’s pride and among the highest medal winners for India in the 2018 CWG, @manikabatra_TT. The entire fraternity of brave IPS officers, especially those above 40,” he tweeted.
Here are moments from my morning exercises. Apart from Yoga, I walk on a track inspired by the Panchtatvas or 5 elements of nature – Prithvi, Jal, Agni, Vayu, Aakash. This is extremely refreshing and rejuvenating. I also practice

In response to PM’s workout advice, the Karnataka CM replied he was more concerned about the development fitness of Karnataka. “I am honored and thank you very much for the concern about my health,” Kumaraswamy said, tweeting from the official Karnataka CM’s Twitter account.
“I believe physical fitness is important for all and support the cause. Yoga-treadmill is part of my daily workout regime. Yet, I am more concerned about development fitness of my state and seek your support for it,” said Kumaraswamy.
