The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results of this year’s National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Punjab student Navdeep Singh has topped the exam with a score of 697 out of 720.

Archit Gupta ranked second with 695 marks. Manish Mulchandani Male scored 695 marks and secured the third rank. Both second and third rank holders are from Madhya Pradesh.

Notably, three students in the top 10 hail from Punjab.

.According to a report, over 11.3 lakh students had appeared for the entrance test for admission to medical colleges on May 7, 2017.

Last week, the Supreme Court stayed the Madras High Court’s order of May 24 restraining declaration of results, directing the CBSE to declare the results in two weeks. Earlier, the Madras HC had stayed the declaration of results after a petition claimed that the questions in regional languages were different and tougher than those in English and Hindi.
