He dared the media to list the 22 properties of his or his family’s which were raided.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Yadav on Friday denied all charges of corrupt land deals against him and his family and blamed the BJP for fabricating such charges against him.
In an interview to NDTV, he said: “Whatever my children have acquired be it land, shares, the details are in public domain. The Income Tax department has the details about it.”
Defending his move to build a mall on family-owned land in Patna, he asked, “What’s wrong in building a mall and when its shared 50:50 with the builder, so how does it all come into my account?”
The Income Tax department had raided his properties in connection with the alleged benami property deals on Tuesday.
Yadav refuted such reports and questioned the media, “How can you report it without any verification and evidence? Please, I request the media to provide the names of the 22 places where the IT conducted raids.”
Yadav also said his party will conduct a rally on August 27 at Gandhi Maidan and vowed to uproot BJP-led NDA government in the Centre.
“BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh should listen, and know that Lalu Yadav will drag you off your seat in Delhi, whatever be my situation,” he told reporters in Patna.
