UP chief minister Adityanath says his government will set up cow shelters in 16 UP districts, youth to get jobs by selling products made from cow milk and urine
At a time when Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has been leading the charge against the BJP for its failure in addressing the issue of growing unemployment among India’s youth, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has found a novel solution to tackle the problem.
Campaigning for the upcoming civic polls in the newly created Mathura-Vrindavan municipal corporation on Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister reiterated that his government was committed towards establishing massive cow shelters across the state.
Stating that under the first phase of the project, gaushalas would be set up in 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh, Adityanath said that the shelters would provide employment opportunities for the youth in the state who can get jobs for themselves by marketing and selling products made from the milk and urine of the cows housed in these shelters!
While the youth may not exactly be aspiring to be employed as marketers or salesmen associated with government-run gaushalas, the UP chief minister clearly thinks that his formula would serve two goals in a single stroke – that of employment generation and perhaps more important for him, of the menace of ‘homeless’ cows.
Adityanath also seems to think that only Hindus domesticate cows though he also possibly agrees that once these bovine creatures stop yielding milk, the Hindus “leave them on the streets”.
“Many Hindus drink cow’s milk and then leave them on the streets. I want to appeal to all of you,”Adityanath said while campaigning in Mathura, even as he urged the electorate to “serve Gau Mata with pure feelings” and claimed that doing so would ensure that “there will be no problems of any nature at home (sic)” for people who follow his advise.
“Our government has decided that in 16 municipal corporations, big cow shelters will be set up in the first phase… the medicines and products which are made from cow milk and the urine of Gau mata… through their marketing, youth will get jobs,” Adityanath said.
