Actor Juhi Chawla yesterday said that people should understand the situation and reflect upon their own actions, than questioning the government all the time.
“Why does everyone say what is the government doing, why is it doing this? But I say if you point one finger there then three fingers are at you. What are we doing? Let’s be calm and understand the situation,” she said.
The actor was speaking at an event organised by the BJP in Mumbai to clear ‘false propagandas and misconceptions’ on Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and National Register of Citizens (NRC). Apart from Chawla, several Bollywood personalities including Dilip Tahil were present at the event.
Chawla also said that people should talk about uniting than dividing. “It is easy to destroy something. But bringing together is difficult,” she said.
Praising Narendra Modi, she claimed that the Prime Minister “hasn’t taken a single day off in the last five years and only thinks about what is beneficial to the country”.
Responding to questions on CAA related events, Chawla added that it is unfair to question artistes about incidents “just for a reaction”, without giving adequate time to understand the situation.
“We are going to work, thinking how to execute our task, then some incident happens somewhere and suddenly the media asks, ‘what do you think about this?’ We haven’t understood the matter, people haven’t understood the matter but you need a reaction,” she said.
