Actor and Bigg Boss fame Sana Khan has decided to quit the entertainment industry. The 33-year-old wrote a long note on Instagram and cited religious reasons behind her decision. Sana wrote that the showbiz has given her name and fame, but she has realised that there is more to life than wealth and fame. She added that she wants to serve the humanity and follow the order of her creator. She further requested people to pray for her and not contact her regarding any assignments pertaining to entertainment industry. She also removed several pictures and videos from her shooting days and trips from her Instagram account.
Sana made her acting debut in 2005 with Yehi Hai High Society. In a career spanning 15 years, she acted in 14 films including Halla Bol, Jai Ho, Wajah Tum Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. She has also appeared in over 50 ad films. Apart from films and TV commercials, Sana participated in several reality shows such as Bigg Boss 6, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 7, Comedy Nights Bachao and Entertainment Ki Raat. She was one of the finalists in the sixth season of popular reality show Bigg Boss 6. Khan was last seen in web series Special Ops where she played an important role. Sana is also an entrepreneur who deals with luxury skincare treatments and products.
Earlier in February this year, the actor broke up with boyfriend Melvin Louis and accused him of cheating on her with other women. She revealed in an interview that she was shaken after her fallout with Melvin and had developed anxiety issues and depression. Meanwhile, Sana’s friends and colleagues from the film and television industry have wished her good luck for her life ahead.
Earlier in 2019, Dangal fame Zaira Wasim had decided to bid farewell to the industry saying she was not happy the line of work as it interfered with her religion.
