Akshay Kumar on Tuesday morning revealed the first look of his character as an archaeologist in his upcoming film Ram Setu as the shooting began today. The actor shared a post on Instagram with his picture in which he was seen donning a long hair avatar with glasses and a stole around his neck.
The journey of making one of the most special films begins today. Ram Setu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film. Would love to hear the thoughts on the look? It always matters to him, Kumar wrote in his caption.
Actor Jacqueline Fernandez also announced that she has started the shooting for Ram Setu on her Twitter account.
Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha also shared the news on her Instagram account saying she is super excited to begin filming for Ram Setu.
Kumar, along with Fernandez and Bharuccha had visited Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, for the mahurat shoot of the film earlier this month. The shooting of the film has started at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai.
Ram Setu is directed by filmmaker Abhishek Sharma, who has helmed films like The Zoya Factor, Tere Bin Laden, and the recent Diljit Dosanjh-Manoj Bajpayee starrer Suraj pe Mangal Bhari. The film will be produced by Kumar’s Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Amazon Prime Video. The action-adventure drama has filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi as the Creative Producer.
Amazon Prime Video recently announced that the streaming giant will be co-producing the action-adventure drama, which is touted as a story rooted in Indian culture and historical heritage. Following Ram Setu’s theatrical release, it will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
