Actor Alia Bhatt has surpassed 50 million followers on Instagram. To celebrate it, the actor shared a beautiful picture of herself along with a heartfelt note and thanked her followers. She called it a ‘appreciation day’ and said no troll can ‘take who you are away from yourself’.
On Sunday, the actor penned down a note to extend gratitude to her fans and followers who gave her 50 millions love. In the note shared on Instagram, she enclosed a lesson which he learnt over the couple of months about social media.
Bhatt said social media helps to connect people, it excites them and also entertains, but it does not define them. Even when the actor had less followers, she was as grateful as today. Our lives are made up of relationships and it cultivates us, referring to social media trolls, she said a touch of a button cannot make one feel lesser or greater.
She dubbed the day as an appreciation day and urged people to appreciate their mind, body and their soul as no push buttons like follow or unfollow, likes and dislikes can take away their own self.
Bhatt was last seen in his father Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial Sadak 2. The film stars Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapoor. The film was much-anticipated release as Mahesh made his comeback into director’s chair after several years.Unfortunately, the movie failed to make a mark and was highly criticised for its content.
Meanwhile, the actor will next feature in Ayan Mukerjee’s Brahmastra co-starring his boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. The film also stars Amitabh Bachhan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.Bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film is sought to be one of the costliest Hindi films till date.
Apart from Brahmastra, Bhatt has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi in her kitty. She has joined the cast of multi starrer film RRR which is being helmed by SS Rajamouli.
