Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is now streaming on Netflix after 20 days of its theatrical release, Tweeple wonder at film’s box office success

'Annaatthe' was released in 1,100 theatres around the world, the most ever for a Tamil film.

The superstar Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe is now streaming on Netflix after 20 days of its theatrical release November 4.

The Netflix release of the film has invited Tweeple to discuss the box office success of Ranjni starrer film and the social media has shown mixed reactions from the users.

Some fans are thrilled, others see it as proof of the movie’s failure at the box office. Netflix in its Instagram post wrote, “#Annaatthe, now streaming on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.”

Soon after announcement, few users have questioned the makers decision and the film’s performance at the box office while some Rajini fans have sent Thank you messages to Netflix for streaming Annaatthe.

The Siva-directed film, which received mixed reviews but did well at the box office, is now available to stream on OTT platforms- Netflix India and Sun NXT.

The film starring Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, and Keerthy Suresh was released on November 4 in Indian theatres during Diwali.

Despite negative reviews, Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaatthe’ has done a good job at the box office and received mixed reviews upon its release. A few industry insiders also said the Siva directed film made Rs 100 crore in its first weekend, while some believe that amount is inflated.

The music of the film is composed by D Imman and the lyrics are written by Viveka. M Bharath Kumar, a film critic, stated that a Rajinikanth film was released on Deepavali for the first time in 26 years this year.
