Bollywood actor Ali Fazal has bagged a role opposite the famous ‘Wonder Woman’, Gal Gadot in the modern-day adaptation of ‘Death on The Nile.’
‘Death on The Nile’ was previously made in 1978 starring actors like Bette Davis, Maggie Smith, Mia Farrow and others.
The film is a follow up to the studio’s 2017 blockbuster ‘Murder on The Orient Express’ and also an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name. This film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh who has previously helmed movies like the ‘Thor’ series.
Ali said, “I am part of this wonderful journey and I look forward to being a part of it. My mother and I have always been huge fans of Agatha Christie novels.” On working with Branagh Ali said, “Kenneth is a master of his craft and I’m excited to be directed by him. And what a stellar cast to join hands with on this project!”
The film explores Poirot’s investigation of a murder that takes place in a cruise on the Nile. As the probe begins, a handful of suspects emerge, but later, several of them meet their demise, further deepening the mystery.
Ali Fazal has already worked in Hollywood movies like ‘Fast & Furious 7’ and period drama ‘Victoria and Abdul.’
‘Death on The Nile’ will go on the floor later this month and will be shot in parts of Europe and London. Along with Ali Fazal and Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright are also aboard the cast while Russell Brand and Annette Bening are in talks to join the cast.
