Further, Lara said that the film deals with a hijack situation that happened during Indira Gandhi’s tenure. Given the dramatic events that were unfolding, Gandhi was somebody who was extremely centered and not really prone to any dramatics. So it was important to portray her in that form, said the actor. She had a great time. A lot of homework and research went behind the scenes, it was an opportunity of a lifetime that she is thankful for, she added.
Bell Bottom is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and it will release in cinemas on August 19.
