West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh is popular for making controversial statements. And, now he is back in the headline for yet another bizarre statement that he made recently about the presence of gold in cow milk. Recently, in a party program in Kolkata, Ghosh claimed that people do not drink cow milk these days and are just having packet milk.
He further said that people are not going for pure cow’s milk. Then, Ghosh raked back his 2019 statement, in which, he said that there are traces of gold in cow’s milk, pointing at his previous statement, he said that people started criticizing him and no one believed him. He concluded by saying that those who never consumed real milk, will never understand the value of gold in it.
After this, TMC MP, Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, said that he never heard about the presence of gold in cow’s milk but the presence of gold in Dilip Ghosh is quite possible.
He further said that Dilip makes a lot of comments and no one takes him seriously. However, TMC Minister Firhad Hakim also gave a solution to Ghosh and said that if he brings a cow who produces milk with gold, we can do research on it and then after that people will surely start believing him. He further said that if he is not able to bring such a cow then he should stop making statements like this.
What was Dilip Ghosh’s 2019 statement?
For those who don’t know, this is not the first time when Dilip Ghosh made such a bizarre claim. Earlier, in 2019 he made a statement in which he said that cow’s milk contains traces of gold that is the reason why its colour is yellow.
Now, getting on the composition of milk, according to the nutritionists, cow milk contains 29.4 per cent fat, 26.9 per cent protein, 5.6 per cent ash, and 38.1 per cent lactose. However, there is no study that can back Ghosh’s statement about the traces of gold in cow’s milk.
