The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday morning released its second list of 10 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. The BJP released the second list hours after its talks on seat sharing with old ally Shiromani Akali Dal failed.

On January 17, BJP had released its first list with 57 candidates. Of the 57 candidates declared, 20 of them are new faces. The list also includes several former MLAs and sitting MLAs.

BJP has given two of its seats Burari and Sangam Vihar – to Janata Dal(U) and Seemapuri has been given to Loktantrik Janshakti Party.

The new list includes Poorvanchali leader Manish Singh (Delhi Cantt.), Dharamvir Singh (Kalkaji), Ramesh Khanna (Rajouri Garden), Sumanlata Shokeen (Nagloi Jat), Ravindra Chaudhary (Kasturba Nagar), Kusum Khatri (Mehrauli) and Anil Goyal (Krishna Nagar).

BJP also fielded Tajinder Pal Bagga from Hari Nagar constituency.

A BJP Spokesperson since 2017, Tajinder Singh Bagga will be fighting against Congress’ Surender Sethi and AAP’s Rajkumari Dhillon.

Bagga, founder of Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, kickstarted his election campaign, posting a rap song on Twitter, ‘Bagga, Bagga Har Jagah’. The video has garnered 3.6 k retweets on the micro-blogging site.

He also showered his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Chief JP Nadda and North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari on Twitter.

BJP Delhi’s Yuva Morcha President Sunil Yadav has been pitted against Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal. An advocated by profession, Yadav will be fighting from New Delhi constituency.

Voting for Delhi Assembly election 2020 will be held in a single phase on February 8.
