Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No 1 trailer fails to tickle funny bone, gets slammed on social media

The much-awaited trailer of Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan starrer Coolie No.1  is out! In the trailer, Jeffrey Rozario (Paresh Rawal) is looking for a groom for his daughter Sarah (Sara Ali Khan). He finds the perfect groom in Kunwar Raj Pratap Singh (Varun Dhawan) who is rich, plays golf and holds conference calls with ATM (Ambani, Trump & Modi).Singh manages to impress Sara with his charm, song and dance taking stress off Rawal’s shoulder of getting his daughter married.

However, the twist in the tale comes when Rawal spots coolie named Raju (Varun Dhawan) who looks just like his future son-in-law. Is Raju twin of Singh, or is he making a fool of everyone? Directed by David Dhawan, the star cast of Coolie No. 1 includes the likes of Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and Jaaved Jaaferi. It is David Dhawan’s 45th film as a director. Coolie No. 1 is the remake of the 1995 film of the same name which starred Karishma Kapoor and Govinda. It was slated to release in May this year. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the release was pushed to December. The film will be released on 25 December 2020.
