Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog (RKA), a body which comes under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, chairman Vallabhbhai Kathiria on Monday unveiled a chip made of cow dung and claimed that the cow dung is anti-radiation. Speaking at the launch of nationwide campaign on Kamdhenu Deepawali Abhiyan, aimed at promoting cow dung products, Kathiria claimed that the chip could be kept in the mobile and this would reduce radiation and avoid disease.
We want to have research on these subjects which we consider a myth, Kathiria said. He displayed other products made from cow dung. He said that cow dung was anti-radiation, it could protect all, if you bring this home your place will become radiation-free and all this has been approved by science.
Kathiria also unveiled other cow dung-based products like earthen lamps, incense, candles, paperweights, idols of gods and goddesses. He said RKA aims to reach 11 crore families to light 33 crore diyas made of cow dung this Diwali.
Kathiria calling cow dung a medicine said that few days ago the actor Akshay Kumar has also eaten cow dung. He was referring to the statement by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar after the shooting for ‘Into the Wild’ with Bear Grylls that he drinks cow urine everyday for ‘Ayurvedic reasons’.
Similar kind of recommendation was made by West Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh who said that drinking cow urine to fight the Coronavirus and has reportedly said that desi cow’s milk contains gold and that is why its milk is golden in colour.

He said that we will try cow urine to stay healthy. Another BJP activist Narayan Chatterjee was arrested by West Bengal police for organising the cow urine consumption event and compelling a civic volunteer to drink cow urine.
Another BJP legislator from Assam, earlier, made similar remark suggesting gaumutra and gobar can help cure coronavirus. The legislator, Suman Haripriya claimed that cow urine and cow dung are helpful in curing deadly diseases like cancer.
