International Daughters Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of September annually. This year, the day is being celebrated today, September 26. The day intends to celebrate the adorable bond of parents and daughters.
Undeniably, a girl child is precious and special. However, in several families, daughters are considered a burden to society. The day also focuses on the issue and spreads awareness among the common people about the respect and privileges daughters deserve in society.
On the occasion of Daughters Day 2021, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan shared heartfelt posts with special messages for his daughter Shweta Bachchan. Sharing the first post he wrote, “Happy Daughter’s Day. Daughters are the best.”
In another post, Big B wrote, “Happy Daughter’s Day. SEPT 26. The universe, society, and culture would be nothing without daughters.”
Shweta Bachchan replied to the post and wrote, “Love you, papa.”

Starring Taapsee Pannu, this female-centric film is based on Amrita (played by Taapsee) who decides to divorce her husband after he slapped her in public. Amrita’s father, Kumud, is the only one who understands her and supports her as a pillar.
This film will take you through a life of a teenage girl, Insia, who aspires to be a singer but does not get any support from her father. Insia’s mother comes to her help and motivates her to follow her passion. The mother-daughter relationship in the film is just unmissable.
