Actor Deepika Padukone was mobbed by a group of women after she exited a restaurant in Mumbai’s Khar on Thursday night. The pictures and video from the incident has gone viral which showed how the actor braved through a crowd of fans.
On Thursday night, the actor was spotted having dinner at an eatery named Tori in Khar. She looked all bit stylish, donning distressed denims, a crop top and off-shoulder jacket. After she stepped out of the restaurant, she was caught by paparazzi on one side and a group of women hawkers selling tissues on the other side.
In the viral video, Padukone appeared slightly taken aback by the crowd outside the restaurant. Wearing a smile on her face, the actor tried navigating her way through the crowd, when she found her bag pulled away. She can be heard saying, ek minute, ek minute as she turned around to get her bag back. The actor then quickly sat in her car and left the place.

As the videos and photos did the rounds on the Internet, many observed that the Bollywood star was without a face mask which violates the Mumbai’s administration’s Covid-19 guidelines. In the wake of the rising number of coronavirus cases, the state authorities have made it mandatory to wear masks for people in public places, failing to which will be punishable.
Meanwhile, Padukone was last seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhappak. She will next be seen opposite husband and actor Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s ’83. The release of the film was postponed due to Covid-19 induced lockdown.
Currently, the actor is busy shooting for Shakun Batra’s untitled drama. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in pivoting roles.
