Bollywood’s He-Man and veteran actor Dharmendra is celebrating his 86th birthday on December 8. From his impressive dialogue delivery to amazing acting, legendary actor Dharmendra is one of the most celebrated and admired actors of the country.
In his career, Dharmendra has done films of probably all genres, from rom-com, action-thriller to emotionally dramatic movies, he excelled and owned the films he did. This was one of the main reasons, he was loved by the critics and the masses both. Many of his blockbuster films, such as Sholay, Mera Gaon Mera Desh and Dharam-Veer, had broken the box-office records at that time.
In the 70s and 80s, Dharmendra donned the film industry for his remarkable performances. During his younger days in Bollywood, he was linked with many actresses at that time, but he tied the knot with his ‘Dream Girl Hema Malini.
When Dharmendra bribed spot boy for a hugging scene with Hema Malini:
When the He-Man fell in love with Hema, he was already married to Prakash Kaur. But there is not any such boundary for Dharmendra to stop him from loving the dream girl. As per a report, while shooting for Sholay, Dharmendra had bribed a spot boy with Rs 2,000 so that he could hug his lady love, Hema Malini, for more. The film Sholay became the biggest hit of the industry at that time, and even after its 45-years of release, it is loved by everyone.

After dating for 4-5 years, Dharmendra finally got married to Hema Malini in 1980. The couple had to convert their religion, from Hindu to Islam, as his first wife refused to divorce him. The veteran actor has a total of 6 kids including Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Esha Deol, from his both wives.
