Donald Trump hints at running for 2024 US election, tells guests he will be in White House in another four years

Outgoing US President Donald Trump who is yet to concede defeat to President elect Joe Biden openly spoke about a run at the US presidency in 2024. Speaking to guests at White House Christmas party, Trump termed his tenure of four years as amazing. He said he was trying to do another four years, otherwise he will see them the guests again in four years. Media was not allowed at the event, but a video of Trump has gone viral. The party was attended by several Republican Party power brokers.

Donald Trump who has alleged fraud in the recently held US elections has had very few public appearances since his defeat. The outgoing President, however, has tweeted several times expressing his dissatisfaction with the way ballots were counted. However, he has not been able to substantiate his fraud claims. His own Attorney General Bill Barr, in an interview, said there was no evidence of a large-scale fraud that could have affected the outcome of the election. Barr’s statement holds a lot of weight as he is a staunch Trump ally.

According to a report, Trump plans to launch his 2024 campaign on January 20, 2021, the day Biden takes office. He had filed paperwork for 2020 election on January 2020 in 2017. The date his significant as Trump had taken oath as President of United States on the same day. He is a bit superstitious as he himself has admitted several times.
