Don’t bend in front of Rahul Gandhi, he’s single: Former Kerala MP

Former Kerala MP Joyce George has passed a derogatory comment against Wayanad MP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his visit to Women’s college in Kerala.

Speaking at a rally in support of CPI(M) leader and minister MM Mani on Tuesday, George said all the girls should be careful and asked the girls not to bend in front of Rahul Gandhi as he is a bachelor.

George said Rahul Gandhi plans his programme in such a way that he will only visit women’s colleges. George said Gandhi visits women’s college and teaches girls to bend. My dear children, please don’t bend and stand in front of him, he is not married, said a former independent MP from Idukki backed by the LDF (Left Democratic Front).

Kerala minister MM Mani, who was present on the stage while George was passing comment against Gandhi caught laughing in camera.

The Congress unit in Kerala in Tuesday has slammed the former MP Joyce George, said it is clear that the CPI(M) is feeling the heat of losing the Assembly election. Congress unit in Kerala has shared the video of incident on their officia Twitter handle, Congress tweeted that the party condemns this misogynistic comment by Joyce George.

George’s comment comes after Rahul Gandhi’s visit at Teresa’s College for women in Kochi on Aprile 6, where Gandhi was teaching girls some self-defense principles of Aikido.

In a video, Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi was seen giving Aikido lessons after a student requested him to teach some self-defense skills.

Rahul Gandhi had told the girls that society is going to push them down, treats them very badly, insults them every single day. Gandhi asked girls to gain strength from inside to fight against injustice against them.

Gandhi asked girls to understand the way they have been pushed, understand the forces that are hurting them and then position themselves properly, Rahul Gandhi had told college girls.
