The phone will be sold on offline channels in four different colours
The wait for the iconic feature phone of the 2000s – the Nokia 3310 – is finally over. The handset will be available in stores from May 18.
HMD Global, the company that owns the rights to the Nokia brand, has confirmed that the mobile phone will be priced at recommended best buy price of Rs 3310.
“Talk all day on a single charge, send texts, take pictures and enjoy a pocket jukebox with a built-in FM Radio and MP3 player. Our reinvention of this classic design is sure to make you smile. It’s got everything you remember, but with a modern twist. So whether you’re after a feature phone that offers amazing battery life in a head-turning design or a companion phone, the Nokia 3310 won’t let you down,” said Ajey Mehta, VP India, HMD, Global.
Interestingly, the new phone will much like its original sibling by having a massive standby time of upto one month, a regular Micro-USB port, 2G Internet access and Bluetooth 3.0 with Nokia’s SLAM technology.
The phone will be sold on offline channels in four different colours – Warm Red and Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey, both with a matte finish. The company will launch its Android phones – Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 – in June this year.
