The accused in the Hyderabad rape case, where a 6-year-old girl was raped and murdered on September 9, was found dead at a railway track in Warangal. A massive manhunt was taking place to find the accused, who was identified as Raju, and he was on the run since the body of the minor was found at his home.
Telangana Labour Minister Malla Reddy on Tuesday also said that the accused in the Hyderabad rape case will be killed in an encounter. It was reported that almost about 15 police teams were formed and they were sent to Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh to look for Raju, who was on the run.
It is reported that the body of Raju was identified based on tattoos on his arm. Earlier, the Hyderabad police also shared the picture of Raju on all social media platforms and said that an amount of Rs 10 lakh would be given on giving information about the absconding man.
However, the confirmation has not come yet, as it will come after DNA and other scientific verification.
The Hyderabad rape case triggered outrage on social media, and the tweeple were demanding Justice for Chaithra. According to reports, the 6-year-old girl was the daughter of an auto driver in Hyderabad, and she went missing on September 9. The body of the 6-year-old was found in the house of the neighbour and the body was wrapped in the bedsheet.
The government also grant an ex gratia for the family of the victim. Ministers Mohammed Mahmood Ali and Satyavathi Rathod met the family of the victim on Thursday and they offered the family a cheque of Rs 20 lakh. Actor Pawan Kalyan also met the family of the victim on Wednesday and he assured the family of the 6-year-old girl that justice will be sought.
