A day after IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman returned back to India, J&K’s Pulwama witnessed a fresh IED blast, leaving one civilian injured.
It has been reported that explosive device was allegedly laid to target security forces vehicle on patrolling, but ended up leaving a civilian injured due to a premature blast.
Reports suggest that the blast took place at around 3 a.m. in Amlar area of Tral which created a mood of panic in the neighbourhood.
A police team reached to investigate the matter as forces is on high alert and escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
The blast comes 16 days after the deadly Pulwama attack on the CRPF convoy which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF soldiers.
It has also been reported “Three civilians have died in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Poonch,” Senior Superintendent of Police (Poonch) Ramesh Kumar Angral said, according to news agency ANI.
Meanwhile, 5 security personnel were martyred in an encounter with militants while a civilian died in clashes in Kupwara yesterday (March 1).
During the encounter, clashes between a group of youngsters and security personnel took place which lead to the death of a youth identified as Waseem Ahmed Mir.
