A massive fire broke out on the 5th floor of Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan at CGO Complex in New Delhi this morning.
News agency ANI reported that 24 fire tenders were rushed at the site. A security officer has been injured and taken to a hospital. In the building there are some of the most important government offices including the CBI.
The fire started at around 8.30am in the morning. The blaze is yet to be brought under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The building was called Paryavaran Bhawan till 2016. The 11-storeyed building also houses several ministries including the Ministry of Social Justice Empowerment and Disability, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
