The government will give priority to establishing industries in Bundelkhand region

The government of Yogi Adityanath seems to be working day and night. The new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh held meetings with his ministers and senior officials till 1 am on April 7 and took several important decisions. The proposal to construct an airport in Jewar near Noida was approved and it was decided to provide all district headquarters with 24-hour electricity supply while tehsil towns will get 20 hours and villages will receive 18 hours of electricity supply a day.
APN carried a detailed report on its show, Office-Office, on April 7. The government also decided to modify the titles of the projects, replacing ‘samajwadi’ with ‘mukhya mantra’.
Siddharth Nath, the Health Minister, while briefing mediapersons, said that electricity supply was one of the priorities of the government. Five lakh new electricity connections will be provided within the next 100 days. Power Minister Shrikant Sharma will meet Piyush Goyal, Minister of State for Power, Coal and Renewable Energy, on April 14, he said.
The slow progress of different development projects was also being examined and the government would like to complete work expeditiously, he said.
The viewers were informed that senior officials and their assistants were present with the CM till the wee hours of April 7. The whole work culture is being changed. Earlier, chief ministers used to work from their residences; Yogi Adityanath likes to work in his office at all hours.
It was also revealed that the UP government may follow the Gujarat model and think of introducing a mobile app to involve the people. The chief minister has watched Power Point presentations by six departments with great seriousness and pointed out loopholes in present practices. The government will give priority to establishing industries in the Bundelkhand region and expedite completion of work on the Poorvanchal Expressway. It will also look into any corruption in the ongoing projects.
