IPL 2020 has been a very successful campaign for Delhi Capitals so far, however, the team has been hit hard by some injury issues. On Monday DC announced their official replacement for leg spinner Amit Mishra, as he had to come back home after finger injury during a match.
JSW and GMR co-owned franchise Delhi signed 17 year old leg spinner Pravin Dubey in the replacement of Amit Mishra, for the rest of the Dream11 IPL. This young and enthusiastic boy from Karnataka has played 14 domestic T20 matches for his state. In his career so far, “he took 16 wickets with an economy rate of 6.86,” announced the franchise.
“Amit Mishra has to return back to home after an injury to the ring finger of his bowling arm while playing a match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah on October 3, 2020.”
Delhi Capitals, with 14 points from 9 matches, are in a very good position to qualify for the play-offs with just five more matches to play in the league phase.
All seasoned players like Shikhar Dhavan, R Aswin, Marcus Stoinis, and Kagiso Rabada including captain Shreyas Iyer have performed well for the team.
Youngsters like Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw have also put in some special performances for the team. The franchise has never qualified for the final of the IPL and thinks to break the misfortune this season.
