A grenade attack took place at BJP leader Jasbir Singh’s house in Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri on Thursday. A 4-year-old was killed in the attack, and it is reportedly said that seven people were injured. According to reports, the minor who was killed in the attack was the nephew of Jasbir Singh.
The reports state that the grenade was thrown by some terrorists on the BJP leader’s house in the Khandli area and the grenade exploded on the rooftop.
The people who faced severe injury in the attack were hospitalised. As soon as the attack took place in the Rajouri area, police official rushed immediately to the spot.
Rajesh Kumar Shavan, DC Rajouri told news agency ANI that they are investigating where the grenade was hurled from. He further said that the police has lodged an FIR. He also said that in the grenade attack, one child died, seven people are injured and all of them belong to one family.
It is also reportedly said that the People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) claimed that they were behind the grenade attack. However, the claim is being investigated.
Meanwhile, massive security forces have now been deployed at the BJP leader Jasbir Singh’s residence.
Earlier, four people, two security personnel, also faced severe injury in an encounter that took place between militants and security forces on Thursday after the ultras were fired on the BSF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The official reported that the terrorists opened fire on the BSF convoy, which was on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Malpora in the Qazigund area of Kulgam.
