Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 135 crore

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amita Madhvani and Ram Madhvani, Dhamaka is an official remake of the 2014 South Korean film The Terror Live.

Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka has been sold to Netflix for a whopping amount of 135 crores. With this, Dhamaka has become the biggest ever Hindi film to be purchased by an OTT platform at such a huge amount, exceeding Akshay Kumar’s Laxmii which was sold to Disney Hotstar plus in Rs 110 crore. Helmed by Ram Madhavani, the flick will see Aaryan in the role of a fierce journalist, Arjun Pathak, who covers the live broadcast of a terror attack in Mumbai. The actor in the teaser is seen losing his nerve and struggling to pull himself together but his colleague, played by Amruta Subbash, forces him to perform his best.

Last month, Aaryan had shared the teaser of the film on his Instagram handle captioning it in Hindi Main hoon Arjun Pathak (I am Arjun Pathak), Jo bhi Kahunga Sach Kahunga (Whatever I say shall be the truth). Coming soon, only on Netflix, he added.

The 30-year-old actor had said working on Dhamaka was an enriching experience. Working with Ram Madhvani has allowed him to explore and showcase a new facet of his personality. He is thrilled that the film will reach audiences and his fans all around the world on Netflix, Aaryan had said in a statement.
