Kay Kay Menon receives Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation Award for Most Versatile Actor

The team of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival received a special letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he congratulated all award winners.

Actor Kay Kay Menon has been honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation Award for the Most Versatile Actor. The actor received the award from Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF).

Sharing the glimpse of the trophy on Instagram, Menon thanked Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival for bestowing on him this honour. He captioned the post as, Thank you!! @dpiff_official (sic). The actor was felicitated for his extraordinary work and contribution to Indian cinema.

Kay Kay Menon also known as Krishna Kumar Menon, has been part of the film industry for the last three decades. He has worked predominantly in Hindi cinema, and also in Gujarati, Tamil, Marathi and Telugu cinema.Over the years, Menon has featured in some of critically acclaimed films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Life in a..Metro, Shaurya, Haider, Black Friday, Shahid among others.

The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival is a unique platform to honour the most creative artists, encourage and infuse life into their career.  It organises awards ceremonies in presence of Governor, celebrities, diplomats, industrialists among others. It is India’s only independent award function which celebrates the legacy of Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of cinema.

The team of DPIFF had received a special letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he congratulated all award winners. A part of his letter read, it is a pleasure to learn about the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2021. The awards celebrate the legacy of Dadasaheb Phalke, a true visionary, whose pioneering role in the glorious journey of Indian cinema is Indelible.

Congratulating the winners of the prestigious award, Modi ended the letter, saying the awards may inspire various stakeholders to take the art of storytelling to higher levels of excellence.He sent out best wishes for the all-around success of the Film Festival Awards 2021.
