The closure of all state government schools is expected by the Kerala State Government. The Kerala government may announce to close the schools of Kerala on Friday, January 14, 2022. The state’s COVID issue is expected to be reviewed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The members of the meeting will decide and make a decision on whether or not to close schools. According to local media sources, V Sivankutty has said that the issue will be reviewed on December 14, 2022. CM Vijayan, on the other hand, may declare his final decision only after consulting with health experts.
Since the number of cases was reported to increase due to Covid-19, the decision to close the schools started putting up by the officials and the government authorities.
The state government has yet to make any formal announcement, and students will be notified as soon as a decision is taken. Guardians, administrators, teachers, and others have been notified that if the schools are closed, the state may probably enforce further limitations to prevent the virus from spreading.
According to the media reports, Vasudevan Sivankutty, the Education Minister of Kerala announced that the Chief Minister will look into the current situation of Covid-19, and then he will make a decision on closing schools in Kerala.
The cases of COVID-19 in Kerala are increasing day by day. Over 10,000 new instances were reported to the authorities on a regular basis. Kerala’s Health Department announced the total number of patients who were infected by the new COVID-19 subtype, which is 480, as additional 59 Omicron cases were reported on January 13, 2022.
