Filmmaker and cinematographer KV Anand passed away on Friday morning due to cardiac arrest at the age of 54 in Chennai. Several celebrities like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth paid condolences to the late filmmaker on social media.
Haasan said his demise is a huge loss to cinema. He wrote in Tamil, KV Anand, who started his career as a photographer in magazines, has established himself as an outstanding cinematographer and director due to his unwavering dedication. While Rajinikanth said the filmmaker’s demise is shocking and painful. He tweeted, The demise of the respected KV Anand is shocking and painful. My deepest condolences to his family who lost him. May his soul attain peace.

Last night, Anand felt chest pain and drove himself to a private hospital to get it checked. However, he suffered a massive heart attack and passed away at around 3 am today morning. He was best-known for his work in largely Tamil films. Kana Kandaen, Anegan, Kavan, Ayan, Ko, Maattrraan, and Kaappaa are some of his best films which were a commercial success.
