After Aamir, Madhavan tests positive for coronavirus, says Farhan has to follow Rancho

In terms of work, Madhavan was last seen in Maara, which released earlier this year on Amazon Prime Video.

Actor R Madhavan on Thursday announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19. The actor who has worked with Aamir Khan in 3 idiots, used the film’s reference to share the news of his diagnosis on social media.

Madhavan tested positive just a day after Aamir contracted novel coronavirus. Sharing a picture of himself with Aamir from their movie, he tweeted, Farhan HAS to follow Rancho and Virus has always been after us BUT this time he bloody caught up. But All is Well and the Covid will be in the Well soon. Though this is one place we don’t want Raju in. Thank you for all the love. I am recuperating well.

In the film, Madhavan, Aamir and Sharman Joshi play the role of three best friends Farhan, Rancho and Raju respectively. The film also stars Boman Irani as the antagonist named Virus. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is listed among one of the most popular and successful films in India. 

On Wednesday, Aamir’s spokesperson revealed that the actor has tested positive for Covid 19, and quarantined himself at home. He said the actor is following all the protocols and doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern, he added.

In terms of work, Madhavan was last seen in Maara, which released earlier this year on Amazon Prime Video. The Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actor is currently working on Rocketry: The Nambi effect where he plays the lead role of scientist Nambi Narayanan. He is also writing, directing and producing the film.

Earlier, actors such as Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rohit Saraf, among many others have tested positive for COVID-19. They are currently in home quarantine.

Among other Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and others were infected with the virus in the past. Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor was among the first Bollywood celebrities to get infected with Covid-19 in March 2020.
