A shocking incident from Madhya Pradesh came across where a man, whose mask slipped from his nose was brutally beaten by the cops in Indore.
The man, identified as Krishna Keyer, 35, is an auto-rickshaw driver whose mask had slipped down from his nose while he was on his way to meet his ailing father in the hospital. Noticing this, two policemen caught him on the road and demanded that he come to the police station. When he refused, they started beating him up.
The incident took place in the broad daylight when bystanders recorded videos and clicked pictures but no one came for help.
A video of the incident that went viral showed two policemen punching and kicking the man mercilessly while he lay on the ground trying to save himself from police brutality. His young son, who was accompanying him, kept screaming for help.
The two policemen — Kamal Prajapat and Dharmendra Jat — were identified but no action was taken since the video went viral. They were suspended and sent to Police Lines only after the video was widely circulated on the internet.
Krishna Keyer told news agency ANI that he was taking food for his father in hospital when Police asked him to come to PS as my mask had slipped. He requested that he could report later but they began hitting him, he added.

When those two cops tried to escort this man to police station for not wearing a mask, he tried to assault them. That part has been cropped in the video to malign police’ image. What those cops did was also wrong, they’ve been suspended. Inquiry is underway, Ashutosh Bagri, SP, was quoted as saying by ANI.
