Upcoming Maruti Celerio 2021 Spied with same infotainment system as WagonR

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch updated Celerio, but before its official launch, the Spy shots of the car have been circulating on social media platforms. Recently, new information about the car like features, color options and engine specifications have been recorded.

The updated version of Celerio has also been spotted during a TVC shoot revealing some fresh updates. Some authorized dealers already started taking booking of the car at a token amount of Rs 5,000-10,000 which is fully refundable.

Features, Colours, Dimensions

According to the photos, Maruti Suzuki’s new-gen Celerio seems quite bigger as compared to its current model, the company has introduced a new honeycomb front grille with chrome accents, droplet-shaped halogen headlamps with a chrome strip with Suzuki logo on it.

The car will come with foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The hatchback also gets a standard antenna, 114 inches black alloy wheels, which makes the car even more aggressive in the segment. At the rear, the customers will see a redesigned bumper with wrap-around tail lamps.

The carmakers have introduced a new dashboard design, 7 inches infotainment system which will support Apple, Auto and Android car play. The hatchback gets a multi-function steering wheel, power steering, central locking, automatic AC and whatnot.

On the safety front, the car gets keyless entry, dual front airbags, seat belt reminder, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD.

Engine and Transmission Options

The new-gen Suzuki Celerio is likely to come with the same engine as new WagonR that is 4 cylinder, 1.2-liter petrol engine which will produce 83 hp power and a 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder K10 petrol engine offering 67 hp power and 91 Nm torque. The car will get a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.

The company has not revealed anything about the car pricing yet, but reports said the new Celerio might launch somewhere around at the starting price of Rs 4.66-6.0 lakhs.
