Mumbai Saga trailer: Emraan Hashmi chases John Abraham in Sanjay Gupta’s gangster drama

Produced by T-Series and White Feather Films production, Mumbai Saga is set to hit theatres on March 19.

The much-awaited trailer of Sanjay Gupta directorial crime thriller Mumbai Saga has dropped on Friday. THe film stars John Abraha, Emraam Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Prateik Babbar, Amol Gupte, Gulshan Grover and Rohit Roy.

Sharing the trailer on Twitter, Emraan wrote, Meri Goli Se Bachne Ke Liye Amartya Rao Ko Baar Baar Khushkismat Hona Padega. Aur Mujhe, Sirf Ek Baar. While John captioned it as, Bandook Toh Sirf Shauk Ke Liye Rakhta Hoon, Darrane Ke Liye Naam Hi Kaafi Hai – Amartya Rao!

Set in the 1980s and 90s, the film chronicles the transformation of Bombay to Mumbai. The three minute long trailer introduces character Amartya Rao played by John Abraham, who has only one goal in life to rule the city. He is challenged by a cop played by Emraan Hashmi dogging him at every step. It remains to be seen who will win between a deadly don and a determined cop. 

The trailer shows some high-octane action and some witty and whistle-blowing dialogues. With an impressive ensemble cast, Sanjay Gupta’s gangster drama will sure be a treat for the audience.

Earlier, the makers have released a teaser in which John was introduced as a gangster who rose from the streets of Bombay to rule Mumbai while it featured Emraan as a cop who rose from the ghettos of Bombay to stop his character, Amartya Rao.

Gupta claimed the film to be his most ambitious movie till date. He said that he had to give the audience something bigger and better after 25 years, 17 films. Mumbai Saga is by far the most ambitious film which needed a visionary producer, and I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar for putting his faith and might in it. It is one story that needs to be said on screen, added Gupta.

The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release in June last year, but due to nationwide lockdown it got postponed. Produced by T-Series and White Feather Films production, Mumbai Saga is now set to hit theatres on March 19.
