After Supreme Court’s order, Centre has allowed unmarried women to apply for the examinations in National Defense Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA). UPSC has opened the window for women to register themselves for the examination. Applicants can apply at the official website – upsc.gov.in. Only unmarried women can fill the NDA/NA form.
Last date of registration is October 8 and the examination will take place on November 14th in online mode. UPSC has also warned that any candidate other than female registers him/herself will be debarred for 10 years from appearing at all future UPSC examinations.
UPSC opened the registration after Supreme Court on Wednesday stressed that,” it cannot belie the aspiration of young girls”. Earlier Centre requested to delay the first ever examination for female candidates for their entry into NDA/NA. Also women candidates are not required to pay any fee for their application. UPSC informed that the no. of vacancies and physical standards will be shared when they receive it from ministry of defense.
Candidates must have passed their 12th examination or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university and for Air Force Wing and Naval Wing, candidates must have passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their core subjects.
Candidates applying for NDA/NA should have been born between January 2, 2003 and January 1st, 2006

4. Complete the registration by providing required informations
