OnePlus, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is all set to launch its upcoming 8T smartphone on October 14 globally. Ahead of the launch, the company confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 8T smartphone will run on Google’s Android 11 operating system with its own OxygenOS 11. A post on the company’s official forum stated that it will be the first global smartphone launching with Android 11 software out-of-the-box.
Being one of the most awaited smartphones this year, there is a lot that’s expected from the OnePlus 8T with Android 11. The new operating system OxygenOS 11 will come with improved one-handed gestures for easier navigation. The company’s official forum said in a blog post that the customers will get the fastest and smoothest, and more refined experience in OnePlus 8T with OxygenOS 11 operating system.
OxygenOS 11 will introduce new layouts, such as easily movable touch controls, new display options, updated animations and gestures to help users more quickly to access important information, and other features. According to the forum, all of this will help the user to personalise the experience.
Apart from this, Oneplus’ new device will launch with a 4,500mAh heavy battery with support for Warp Charge 65 charging technology and will also feature a 120Hz Fluid Display.
OnePlus 8T’s preorder has already begun in India from September 25 and will end on October 16, 2020. The company will deliver the smartphone through all OnePlus exclusive stores and it can be pre-booked for Rs 2,000.
The smartphone is likely to retail at Euros 599 (around Rs 51,730) for 8GB RAM/128GB storage and Euros 699 (around Rs 60,365) for 12GB RAM/256GB storage. Additionally, the OnePlus 8T is expected to be launched with the OnePlus Watch, Buds Z (wireless earbuds), the OnePlus Clover budget smartphone with Snapdragon 460 chipset, and the OnePlus Nord N10 5G with Snapdragon 690 processor.
