PM Modi shares picture of him reading on flight, Twitter can’t keep calm

A long flight also means opportunities to go through papers and some file work, PM Modi wrote.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to the United States of America where he is scheduled to meet President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Prime Minister of Japan, Yoshihide Suga. The Prime Minister will also attend the Quad summit and address the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He is also scheduled to interact with leading CEOs to highlight economic opportunities in India.

However, there is a also funny twist to his US visit. The Prime Minister shared a picture of him going through some papers in the flight. Sharing the photograph on Twitter, he wrote: A long flight also means opportunities to go through papers and some file work.

As soon as PM Modi shared a picture of him reading in the flight, Twitter was flooded with memes and trolls as tweeples noted as to why PM Modi uses a light beneath the paper and drew several comparisons. A section of Twitter was involved in trolling the PM, while other was busy defending him.

However, Modi supporters came to the rescue.

Some compared him with the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shashtri.

The Prime Minister was received by senior officials of Biden administration including including T H Brian McKeon, US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources at Joint Base Andrews.

He was welcomed by India’s envoy to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu, along with the Defence attache including Brigadier Anoop Singhal, Air Commodore Anjan Bhadra and naval attache Commodore Nirbhaya Bapna.

In other India news, Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to reclaim top spot in IPL points table. Earlier before match the T. Natarajan of Hyderabad was found COVID positive.
