The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Monday March 4) said it has suspended its Maharashtra Secretary Narasayya Adam from the Central Committee for three months.

“We’ve decided to suspend Maharashtra CC (Central Committee) secretary, Narsayya Adam, from the Central Committee for 3 months. This is a consequence of his speech at a public event in Solapur in presence of the Prime Minister & Maharashtra CM which hurt the party’s image,” ANI quoted the Central Committee of CPI-M in a tweet.

In his speech, Adam had said that he was grateful to the dear ‘Prime Minister’ for giving houses to the poor women of Solapur.

“The coalition government of the Nationalist Congress Party-Congress had kept it on the back burner for the three years “, Adam had said.

In the wake of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Central Committee has further decided that in the states where there is a direct contest is between the Congress and the BJP the CPI (M) will contest only one or two seats and will campaign generally for the defeat of the BJP.
