National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah, on Friday (Jan 4) said that Ram Mandir issue can be resolved through peaceful conversation.
Speaker over the matter, Abdullah said that ‘Lord Ram belongs to the whole world’, also added that the day the matter is solved ‘through dialogue’; he will contribute a brick towards the construction of the temple.
“Bhagwan Ram se kisi ko baer nahi hai na hona chahiye. Koshish karni chahiye suljhane ki aur banane ki. Jis din ye ho jayega main bhi ek patthar lagane jaaonga. Jaldi samadhaan hona chahiye”
(No one can or should have enmity with Lord Ram. There should be an effort to resolve it and construct it. The day that happens, I will contribute a brick towards its construction), Abdullah was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
“This (Ayodhya) issue should be discussed and sorted out across the table between people. Why drag the issue to the Court? I am sure it can be resolved through dialogue. Lord Ram belongs to the whole world, not just Hindus,” he further said.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court, on Friday postponed the hearing of the matter for January 10.
Earlier in an interview with news agency ANI, PM Narendra Modi had said that the legislative route to Ram Mandir would be taken only after the judicial process is over.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is not going to promulgate an ordinance for the Ram Mandir and will wait for the Supreme Court verdict on the same, PM Modi said during an interview with the news agency ANI on Tuesday (Jan 1).
“Let the judicial process be over. After the judicial process is over, whatever will be our responsibility as the government, we are ready to make all efforts,” he said.
