As elections are approaching leaders have started criticizing their rivals with harsh comments and filmy dialogues. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday (November 23) compared PM Modi to the cruel Vilain Mogambo- role played by the veteran actor Amrish Puri in the 1987 Bollywood film ‘Mr India’.
In a tweet in Hindi, Gandhi said PM Modi has created a “cobweb”, just like Bollywood villain Mogambo, to “loot” India’s armed forces. He alleged the Rafale scam was “one of his many adventures” that will be exposed soon.
“The Rafale scam is merely a reflection of Modiji’s misdeeds. To loot the armed forces, he created a cobweb of selected officers, ministers and industrialists, just like the way Mogambo did (in Bollywood film Mr India). The threads of this cobweb to make the armed forces hollow from inside are connected to Modiji and his industrialist friends. Now many masks would be exposed,” Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.
Making controversial comments and giving comical names to rivals is not a new thing in politics, it has been witnessed many a time.
Earlier in a public rally, Congress MLA from Solapur South Praniti Shinde said, “We have a new dengue mosquito in our country, whose name is Modi baba. Everyone is falling sick because of him. So do whatever you can, spray pesticides and throw him out of the power next time.”
Not only Congress leaders but BJP as well has been noticed making harsh comments about its rival parties and opponents.
