Shukla Paksha Trayodashi and Krishna Paksha Trayodashi coincide with the auspicious Hindu festival Pradosh Vrat. The festival will be held on Friday, December 31. It is also known as Pradosham.
According to Drik Panchang, Pradosh Vrat is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Parvati. It is believed that on this day, Lord Shiva and his wife Goddess Parvati felt delighted and pleased with each other. Therefore, devotees observe fast and worship the deities to celebrate them. They also seek blessings from them for a similar bond in their lives.

Pradosh Vrat will be observed on the last day of the year 2021 that is December 31. As per Drik Panchang, the shubh muhurat of the Pradosh Kaal Puja is between 6:12 pm to 8:48 pm.

Pradosh Vrat significance
It is believed that one who observed this fast with devotion is blessed with good health, wealth, and happiness. This fast also helps in spiritual upliftment and fulfilment and brings good fortune. As a part of the celebration, the devotees worship Lord Shiva Natraj with full devotion and dedication.
Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi
On Pradosh Vrat day, devotees take a bath one hour before sunset. Before the main puja, preliminary puja is performed wherein Lord Shiva is worshipped along with Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesh, Lord Kartik, and Nandi. As a part of the ritual, a sacred pot or Kalasha is placed on darbha grass with lotus. The Kalasha is then filled with water. The devotees offer milk, curd, Bilva leaves, and ghee to the Shivling. After this, devotees listen to the Pradosh Vrat katha and stories from the Shiva Purana.
