Sexism again? Rajasthan Education Minister Dotasra says school with more women staffers are behind men because they squabble

Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra recently attended an event in Jaipur to celebrate International Girl Child Day. In the event, he sparked controversy by saying that schools with more women staffers lack behind because women squabble more.

Minister Dotasra said that as the chief of the education department, he must address the issue that whichever school has more women staffers, squabbles are bound to happen for various reasons. He also said that this is the main reason why
women are behind men in such schools, and if they correct these small squabbling issues then they will always find themselves ahead of men.

Dotasra also said that the state government prioritizes women and they take care of their comfort and give them preferred postings in jobs.

However, this is not the first time when a minister said such a sexist statement. Recently, on October 10, Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar in an event held at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurological Sciences said that modern women in India want to stay single and don’t want to give birth, even if they are married.

He also said that unfortunately we are going in a western way and we don’t our parents to live with us, forget about grandparents living with us. Reacting to his statements, several users said that he is a regressive man.

In other news, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat at the launch of the book ‘Veer Savarkar: The Man Who Could Have Prevented Partition, said that there have been deliberate attempts to defame Savarkar.
