Ayodhya: Having participated in the ground breaking ceremony of the Ram Temple here this morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a speech, declared: “Today, Ram Janmbhoomi breaks free of the cycle of breaking and getting built again – that had been going on for centuries.”
To a select audience, he said that the temple is the result of centuries of continuous sacrifice. Returning to the economy in this pandemic-ridden society of today, the PM said: “The ideals and ideas of Lord Shri Ram Ji are in the soul of India. His character and life philosophy are the cornerstones of Indian culture. By constructing the Ram Mandir, this ‘Punya Bhoomi’ Ayodhya will again be awakened with its full splendour in the world. The coordination of religion and development will also generate employment opportunities.”
There is a massive plan of building Ayodhya into a major tourist destination, drawing not only domestic but some international tourists as well.
From hospital Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has tested positive for the Coronavirus and could not be present in Ayodhya, tweeted: “On this day, I salute all the ascetics who fought for this invaluable heritage of eternal culture for so many years.”
