Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in match 43 of Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2021 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. With this win RCB have strengthen their position at no. 3 spot on points table. Whereas, Rajasthan are still at 7th on points table and are almost out of the playoffs race.
After being sent to bat first, RR had a blazing start with Evin Lewis (58) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (31) adding 77 runs for first wicket in 8.2 overs. The middle order of RR choked once again despite of the good start. Skipper Sanju Samson (19) was their third highest scorer. Somehow, RR managed to put 149-9 in 20 overs. Bowling sensation Harshal Patel was on fire in death overs, taking 3 wickets in last over of the match, while wrist spinner Yuzi Chahal and Shahbaz Ahmed also picked two wickets each.
Chasing the target of 150 runs, RCB chased down in only 17.1 overs, with Glenn Maxwell smashing an unbeaten 50 runs and Srikar Bharat 44 runs. In 16th over of the innings, Maxwell smashed 22 runs in Morris over, including 3 fours and one six. Mustafizur Rahman was the only bowler for RR with wickets on his name, he picked 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving only 20 runs.

Rajasthan Royals are currently 7th in points table with 8 points in 11 matches, and their chances to qualify for playoffs are very slim. With three matches still to be played, RR have to every game from now on wards and also pray that Mumbai and Kolkata do not win in their next matches. Only then RR stand a chance for a playoffs spot. Chennai Super kings and Delhi Capitals have already booked their places in playoffs.
