In a major development in Sushant Singh Rajput case, the reconstruction of scene done by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) matches the forensic report of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) declaring it a case of suicide, a report has revealed. Apart from it, a forensic audit of actor’s bank accounts has not shown anything suspicious to suggest that his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty could have pressurised him for financial gains.
According to an Indian Express report, the central investigation agency is now looking at plethora of others reasons that could have forced the actor to take his own life. These include professional rivalry, mental health issues, drug abuse and nepotism. The premier agency will also determine if Sushant’s girlfriend actor Rhea Chakraborty was responsible for abetment of suicide.
According to CBI sources quoted in the report, in past five years transactions worth Rs 70 crores were done from Sushant’s accounts out of which only Rs 55 lakh are associated with Rhea. Most of the expenses were made on travel, spas and gifts. The CBI is investigating the abetment to suicide angle in the case, but is yet to find a motive for the same, the sources added. Earlier, the late actor’s father KK Singh had alleged that Rs 15 crore was taken out of Sushant’s accounts and that Rhea was responsible for it.
The CBI sources further said that the AIIMS report is in line with the agency’s initial investigation. The team had reconstructed the scene with a life-size dummy and had found no sign of scuffle or forced entry. The matter was however referred to AIIMS to be doubly sure. The official added that the agency has not found any concrete evidence to prove that there was a connection between Sushant’s death and his former manager Disha Salian’s death.
