Tamil Nadu government has allowed public transport with 50% occupancy in Kancheepuram Chennai Thiruvallur and Chengalpet with a full focus on Covid norms.
The state government has allowed shooting for serials and films with 100 people maximum, the government has asked people to maintain social distancing and other Covid guidelines.
An E-registration pass is not required to travel in taxis and autorickshaws, but the government said to go out when it is important otherwise stay home.
Standalone grocery stores and vegetable markets can open from 6 am to 7 pm.
Restaurants and eateries are allowed to delivery food from 6 am to 9 pm.
Essential shops like electrical items shops, vehicle outlets, hardware stores, vehicle mechanical shops, stationery stores, home appliances stores, footwear stores and smartphone shops can function from 9 am to 5 pm.
State government has allowed construction work and shops that selling equipment.
Education Institutions can function but only for enrollment of students with full focus on Covid norms.
Tamil Nadu on Saturday has witnessed 8,183 fresh COVID-19 cases that pushed the caseload to 24.14 lakh with 180 Covid related deaths, which took the toll to 31,015.
According to the health ministry on Sunday, the country’s single-day Covid spike dropped below the 60,000-mark on Sunday after 58,419 cases were reported in the previous 24 hours, taking the caseload to 29,881,965.
