The Kapil Sharma Show has yet again landed in legal trouble. An FIR has been filed against the comedy show, hosted by Kapil Sharma, in the district court of Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district.
FIR lodged against The Kapil Sharma Show and Sony TV:
Reportedly, in an episode, the characters in the show were shown consuming alcohol while performing a courtroom drama. The case will be heard on October 1 and has been filed under Section 356/3 against the show and Sony TV.
The lawyer who filed the complaint said in a statement, “The Kapil Sharma Show that is being aired on Sony TV is sloppy. They also make lewd comments on women. In one of the episodes, a court was set up on the stage and the actors were seen drinking alcohol in public. This is contempt of court. That’s why I have demanded registration of FIR against the culprits under Section 356/3 in the court. Such display of sloppiness should be stopped”, as quoted by India Today.
Kapil Sharma has not yet opened up about the matter.
Return of The Kapil Sharma Show:
The show kick-started last month after the comedian decided to resume the show post his break from TV. For those who don’t know Kapil took a break followed by the birth of his second child. The comedy show features artists like Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, Sudesh Lehri, Krushna Abhishek.
Bollywood actor Archana Puran Singh, after she replaced cricketer-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, appears as the special guest in the show.
In other news, History-sheeter Jitendra Gogi, who was known as Delhi’s most wanted gangster was shot dead at Rohini court on September 24, Friday. Reportedly, 3 others were also killed in the shootout. The Delhi Police’s Special Cell killed the two attackers who were posed as lawyers and they are believed to be from the Tillu Tajpuria gang.
